Visitors Stories
I empathise with the references and comments made here about the Macmillan Cancer Support.
I too have a moving story to tell which one day I hope to be able to share.
From Russ Matthews (26 January 2008)
I am going through a very bleak period at the moment, no one knows what is wrong.... or do they.... I have countless transfusions of blood only to be told that they have to stop as they are doing damage. I can't live without the blood!!! What next!! There are no support groups for an "not known" diagnosis but in the words of one very well known comedian. "I told you I was ill" will that be my aide de comfort.......???
From Carol Smallman (23 January 2008)
I, like anyone else sho has visited this website cannot fail to be moved by its content. I urge everybody who visits this website to help Alan carry out Marions wishes in anyway they can. Macillan nurses are as Alan says "The only link between reality and a living nightmare"
I only know of some of what Alan and His family have been through having Lymphoma myself. But I have been lucky to have survived for somewhat longer than poor Marion. I only hope that when my time comes I will be as lucky as her to still have the support of my Macmillan nurse and to die in dignity at home with my family just as Marion has done.
Please please give your support to "THE LADY IN RED" fundraising for Macmillan nurses these wonderful nurses make all the difference to LIVING AND DYING
